Depart on an unforgettable overnight stay on Kangaroo Island, fully immersing yourself in the island’s stunning wildlife and landscapes! Enjoy a seamless journey with morning hotel pick-up, followed by a ferry ride to the Island. Start with a guided beach walk at Seal Bay Conservation Park, then indulge in a delicious two-course lunch. Explore the natural wonders of Flinders Chase National Park, including the iconic Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Experience close-up views of kangaroos and koalas at the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park before relaxing for the evening at your hotel.Â

Today, you’re bound for historic Mannum, the birthplace of the Murray River trade. A transfer will pick you up from your hotel in Adelaide and take you on the 90-minute drive out to the departure dock. Step onboard the traditional paddle steamer PS Murray Princess for a mid-afternoon departure. Enjoy a welcome dinner onboard and as you cruise under floodlight, you may spot nocturnal wildlife, such as wombats, tortoises, and egrets on the riverbank.

After a hearty breakfast, guests can explore the historic town of Murray Bridge, including landmarks like the Roundhouse and the first bridge built in 1879 at Edwards Crossing. In the afternoon, continue upriver, mooring at Salt Bush Flat for the night, followed by dinner and onboard entertainment.Â

In the afternoon, enjoy either a bocce or fishing challenge, followed by a delicious final night dinner in the Sturt Dining Room

Cruise to picturesque Swan Reach for a walking tour of the township and museum (gold coin donation at entry) built in 1917. Then, go ashore at Sunnydale for an authentic outback woolshed show, followed by a visit to the Native Wildlife Shelter. Later, delight in a great Aussie barbecue, cooked and served on the banks of the mighty Murray River.

Enjoy lunch and warm country hospitality at the Swan Reach Hotel, situated atop golden cliffs with breathtaking views, before a brief tour of the charming township. Continue to the Big Bend Cliffs, renowned as the tallest cliffs in Australia, where you can marvel at the longest continuous bend along the entire Murray River—a truly spectacular sight. Upon returning to Mannum, you’ll have free time to stroll along the main street and visit local spots before heading back to the Murray Princess and continue cruising with onboard entertainment for the evening.Â

This unforgettable tour explores one of the world’s largest open-range safari parks outside of Africa. Monarto Safari Park spans more than 1,500 hectares and is home to many exotic and native animals including cheetah, hyena, painted dogs, giraffe, zebra, black and white rhino, antelope, bison, Mongolian horses, and Australia’s largest lion pride to name but a few. The tour departs the dock in Murray Bridge at 9:00 am and returns in time for lunch.

Fitness Â
A medium level of fitness is required. You are required to move about unassisted, including boarding and alighting vehicles and other forms of transportation, walking up and down flights of stairs, and navigating occasional uneven or steep terrain. You will be required to carry your own bags to and from hotels, stations and terminals. This trip is not suitable for travellers requiring wheelchairs, mobility scooters, larger walking aids or facilities for disabled guests. Other walking aids may be permitted if you are able move about unassisted at the required pace. For advice on whether this trip is suitable for you, you must disclose physical ailments at the time of booking.Â

Baggage Â
Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 15kg on tour, superseding any other baggage allowance. Excess baggage is not permitted. You are strongly encouraged to pack lightly. A light day bag or backpack is permitted on the coach. Porterage is not included, and you are required to carry your own bags. Luggage and personal effects are your own risk, and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.Â
Meals Â
If you require special meals please advise as part of completing your Fitness to Travel Declaration. It is recommended that you then confirm your dietary requirements with the Cruise Director when boarding the Murray Princess. Where possible, they will endeavor to meet your requests. As a guide they regularly cater for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, diabetic and non-seafood requirements.

The flights included in your package are based on a specific predetermined airfare allowance. The flights team will discuss options with you prior to ticketing, should this situation arise. Flights may not operate daily or directly to your destination.
