Welcome to Finland! Make your own way to the hotel and unwind and relax for the remainder of the day. Meet your tour leader this evening at 5pm in the hotel lobby for a tour briefing.
Begin your orientation tour of Helsinki at the unique Rock Church. Continue to Senate Square to admire its historic landmarks. Visit the iconic Sibelius Monument, a stunning tribute to Finland’s renowned composer, and conclude the tour with a glimpse of the modern elegance of the new Opera House. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

This morning, board the train from Helsinki to Oulu and embark on a scenic 6-hour journey through Finland’s magical winter landscapes. Sit back and take in the snow-covered pine and birch forests, frozen lakes shimmering in the sunlight, and rural villages blanketed in white—a true showcase of Finland’s winter beauty. This evening, stay in Oulu, as we journey into Lapland.

After breakfast, board the coach to Rovaniemi. On arrival we experience a once in a lifetime adventure – floating in an icy lake amidst the winter wonderland of northern Finland! Dressed in special wet suit, you will stay warm and dry as you float an adrenaline rush while letting your mind drift away. Afterward, enjoy snacks & drinks, in a cozy warm cottage. Later in the day, head out to the Santa Claus village and visit his office for a postcard and cross the Arctic Circle. End the evening with a drive to a peaceful outdoor setting and sausage sizzle. Gather around the fire as our guide shares stories of Lapland. If the sky is clear, you have the chance to see Aurora, the Northern Lights.

Today we take it easy and depart by coach with a scenic drive to the small village of Saariselka 200km north of Arctic Circle. There will be time to unwind and relax in Nordic style, with a soothing sauna, a refreshing ice pool plunge and a soak in a hot tub.

Start the day on *snowmobile safari from Saariselkä. Glide across snowy landscapes and powdery snow drifts taking in the beautiful scenery of the Arctic region. After, visit a traditional reindeer farm where you can meet the local herders and learn about their way of life including a reindeer ride. This evening stay in a glass igloo where you can relax and possibly catch a glimpse of the mesmerizing Northern Lights from the comfort of your own cabin.

Return to Rovaniemi for a visit to a Husky Farm, where you will take the reins for an exhilarating 5km husky sled ride through the snowy wilderness! Feel the rush as the energetic huskies lead you across the winter landscape in this thrilling Arctic adventure.

Begin with a scenic coach ride from Rovaniemi to Luleå, traversing the stunning landscapes through Lapland. Upon arrival in Luleå, explore the Swedish town, known for its history & picturesque waterfront with your Tour Leader. In wintertime, you can literally walk on water when it freezes. The afternoon is free time to explore before settling in for an overnight stay

Catch a flight to Stockholm with airport transfers included. Remainder of the day is at leisure to take in sights of the city in winter, relax at cafe and enjoy the city at your own pace.

Indulge in Swedish delicacies at local cafés, shop for Nordic design in stylish boutiques, or discover the ABBA and outdoor museums. If you are in the mood, stroll the waterfront, with the crisp winter air and the twinkling lights of the city.

Fly from Stockholm to Iceland and arrive in Reykjavík, the world’s northernmost capital. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel using the convenient Flybus service. Settle into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure—perhaps take a short walk to soak in the crisp Icelandic air or relax after your flight.

Depart by coach for a full-day winter adventure. Begin with a two-hour city tour, then continue toward Iceland’s iconic Golden Circle, where snow-dusted plains meet steaming geothermal fields and majestic waterfalls. After lunch, journey to your hotel with more scenic gems along the way.
Admire striking canyons and rock formations and milky-blue glacial waters, visit historic Skálholt Cathedral, and circle the rim of Kerið Crater—a vivid volcanic lake framed by snow.
End the day exploring a geothermal area of steaming vents and bubbling mud pools.

After breakfast, travel along Iceland’s South Coast and discover frozen landscapes that reveal Iceland’s raw beauty. Begin with a memorable experience where icy paths lead behind a cascading waterfall. Then continue to the mighty falls at Skógafoss, its snow-dusted cliffs in all its winter glory. Next, feel the power of the Atlantic at Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, its dramatic basalt columns rise above the crashing waves. Take in sweeping coastal views before venturing onto a spectacular canyon, a winding gorge that looks even more magical under a blanket of snow. End the day with an overnight stay at a cozy countryside hotel, surrounded by snow-covered fields and distant mountains.

After breakfast, set out to explore Iceland’s spectacular glacial landscapes. Begin with an up-close experience at Svínafellsjökull Glacier, a striking outlet of Vatnajökull—Europe’s largest ice cap.
Walk around taking in towering ice formations and deep crevasses framed by snow-covered peaks and crisp Arctic air. Continue to the breathtaking Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, dotted with floating icebergs.
Just across the road, visit the famous Diamond Beach, where crystal-clear ice chunks rest on black sand like sparkling gems—a magical winter scene. This afternoon, prepare for an unforgettable Crystal Ice Cave Tour.
Ride in a Super Jeep across snowy terrain and step inside a shimmering blue ice cave, a natural wonder carved deep within the glacier. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive through snow-covered lava fields with a stop in Selfoss for lunch with scenic views. Then continue to Reykajavik for one of Icelands most icon experiences – the Blue Lagoon. Unwind in soothing geothermal waters, including a silica mud mask. Let the warm, mineral-rich waters melt away the chill of winter . Spend our last evening in the city lights of Reykjavik. For those who want to experience the northern lights one last time (extra cost) can venture into the dark countryside.

Your Iceland winter adventure concludes today. After breakfast at your hotel, a shared airport transfer (Flybus) collects you for the journey to Keflavík International Airport.

Experience the magic of Lapland in Finland and Sweden and the raw beauty of Iceland where you will take part in thrilling winter activities amid icy landscapes. Be prepared with warm clothing for Arctic temperatures and walking on snow and sometimes slippery ice. Expect short daylight hours, crisp fresh air, and a true winter wonderland. You will need to embrace adventurous experiences in chilly winter temperatures. One full day is spent on a train, fly between the Nordic countries and some coach travel typically lasting a few hours each day. Scheduled free time in the cities provide some downtime to explore at your leisure.
Iceland & Lapland in Winter – Fitness
A moderate level of fitness is recommended, as the focus is on being active outdoors in cold conditions.
Expect temperatures ranging from –3°C to –15°C
Guests should be steady on their feet in snowy and icy conditions, sometimes in low light
Winter clothing (boots, jackets, layers) adds bulk and weight, which can make movement feel more strenuous
Optional: boot spikes help with grip and stability
This adventure is ideal for those who are comfortable embracing the chill and ready for a bit of wintery fun!
Fitness
A moderate level of fitness is required. You are required to move about unassisted, including boarding and exiting/disembarking vehicles and other forms of transportation, walking up and down flights of stairs, and navigating occasional uneven or steep terrain. If airport transfers are included, they may not always reach the hotel door, so short walks may be required of you. This trip is not suitable for travellers’ requiring wheelchair, mobility scooters or specialised facilities. Other walking aids may be permitted if you are able to move independently and keep pace with the group. Please note this tour is walking on ice, snow and participating in adventurous winter activities. If you have any health concerns, let us know when booking so we can help confirm if this trip is suitable for you.

Payment
A first deposit from $499 per person is required to secure your booking. A second deposit (partial payment) is due 10 months before departure – the amount to be advised at the time of booking. The final balance will be due 5 months before departure. Full payment is due at the time of booking for departures within 5 months.

Pace
The pace of this tour is lively, designed to fully immerse you in all the exciting winter activities and and managing cold temperatures. You’ll need to embrace adventurous experiences, including walking on snow and sometimes slippery ice. You may want to consider spikes on your boots. One full day is spent on a train, along with coach travel and flights between countries. Scheduled free days provide some downtime to explore at your leisure.
Fitness
A medium level of fitness is required. You are required to move about unassisted, participate in adventurous winter activities, walking in snow & ice and handle cold temperatures. You will be required to carry your own bags to and from hotels, stations and terminals. This trip is not suitable for travellers requiring wheelchairs, mobility scooters, larger walking aids or facilities for disabled guests. Other walking aids may be permitted if you are able move about unassisted at the required pace. For advice on whether this trip is suitable for you, you must disclose physical ailments at the time of booking.
Tipping
Tipping for guides is discretionary but strongly recommended as a gesture of appreciation for the service and local insight provided throughout the tour. It is customary to tip the tour leader and driver at the end of the tour an amount from €5 Euro per person per day.
Passport
Each customer must provide a copy of the passport photo page at the time of booking. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all names are provided in full and exactly match the passport details, which must be valid for at least six months beyond the trip completion date. The customer is liable for any fees incurred due to incorrect names, invalid passport information, or expired passports.
Visas and European Union Entry/Exit System (EES)
EES – Finland, Sweden & Iceland
The EU have introduced the Entry/Exit System (EES) for non-EU passport holders, including Australians. When crossing external EU borders, you will be registered in the EES, which involves having your fingerprints and photograph taken. Please be aware that border processing times may be longer than usual. Registration is free of charge.

Change & Cancellation Fees
Changes for any reason will incur a fee of $110 per person per change in addition to any travel service provider fees. Cancellation for any reason will incur a fee of $550 per person in addition to any travel service provider fees. Travel service provider fees for the tour and air components of the package are dependent on the date of the change or cancellation as follows:

Deviation
Any request to deviate from the original dates or routing, including early arrival and stay behind, is subject to a flight deviation fee from $150 per person plus applicable airfare and tax difference. Stopover packages and extensions are not subject to the deviation fee (applicable airfare and tax difference may still apply) if booked according to the original advertised dates and routing.

Comprehensive travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage is strongly recommended
Baggage
Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 20kg on tour, superseding any other baggage allowance. Excess baggage is not permitted. You are strongly encouraged to pack lightly. A light day bag or backpack is permitted on the coach. Porterage is not included, and you are required to carry your own bags. Luggage and personal effects are your own risk, and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.

Please notify us at the time of booking of any special dietary requirements and allergies. We will pass on your requirements but cannot guarantee that they can be met as certain choices may be limited or not catered for.

Our hotels names provided are a guide to the standard you can expect. Hotels are subject to change and final hotel details will be confirmed in your documentation 30 days prior to departure.

Airport transfers are not included on Day 1 of the tour in Helsinki.

Flights
The flights included in your package are based on a specific predetermined airfare allowance. Should there be a significant increase in airfares, fuel surcharges, taxes, or government fees at the time of booking flights, then an airfare supplement may be imposed. The flights team will discuss options with you prior to ticketing, should this situation arise. Flights may not operate daily or directly to your destination. No show of any flight sectors will result in the automatic cancellation of all onward flights by the airline.
Fuel
In the unlikely event of a significant increase in fuel costs levied by third-party air, land and cruise transportation operators before travel, a fuel supplement may be passed on to the customer.
Group Size
This holiday will proceed with a minimum group size considered optimal for a group tour experience. If the tour does not operate, you will be offered a credit. Max group size 34 people.
Itinerary
The operating schedule and itinerary may be impacted without notice by adverse weather, seasonal factors, closures, local conditions, COVID-19, or other factors beyond our control including force majeure. If attractions are not available due to reasons beyond our control such as closures or adverse weather, alternatives will be provided where possible. The itinerary and its order, sightseeing and transportation may be adjusted as deemed appropriate by the operator for optimum safety, enjoyment, and operation. Any reference to ‘optional,’ ‘not included’ or ‘exclusions/excluded’ means at your own expense.
Breakaway
Customers must always remain with the tour group and must not leave the tour unless written approval is provided before departure.
Force Majeure
Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control. In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, the supplier reserves the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.
