Choose between Gold Service Twin and Single cabins, both of which provide the perfect place to relax and recharge after a day of Off Train Experiences. Spend hours deep in conversation with new friends in the shared Outback Explorer Lounge, then make your way to the Queen Adelaide Restaurant to dine. Gold Service fares include hearty breakfasts, two-course lunches and three-course dinners. You may also choose to complement your meal with a selection of premium wines and beverages, which are included in your fare.

Gold Twin Cabin
Stepping into your Gold Twin cabin, you’ll find classic rail style and compact comfort, perfect for the journey ahead. This is your private oasis, and a comfortable overnight room to recline in as you let the rhythm of the tracks sway you to sleep ahead of your next day of adventure. Your stylish cabin cleverly accommodates your belongings with a series of compartments and shelving options incorporated into the design. During the day, relax on the three-seater lounge that converts to upper and lower sleeping berths at night. Enjoy the high-quality linen, pillows, doonas and complimentary Australian-made toiletries. Arrive Perth, Australia

Upon arrival, make your own way to the hotel in the city, a breezy 30 minutes from the airport. Perth is celebrated for its beautiful weather, unspoilt coastlines and relaxed outdoor lifestyle. Famous restaurants and award-winning wine regions are right at your fingertips.

 
Perth to Fremantle

Start the morning with some city highlights  stopping at Kings Park Botanic Gardens before heading to Fremantle. Time to explore the laid back port city & historic sights. before returning back to Perth.

 
Margaret River Scenery and Wildlife (B, L,D)

Embark on a scenic drive down south passing through farmland and coastal towns to Busselton . Stretch your legs at the marvellous Margaret River township where you’ll enjoy a walk along the famous Busselton Jetty . Driving into the heart of the region we head to one of the boutique breweries for lunch along with cider and beer tastings. In the afternoon head underground at monumental Mammoth Cave, a labyrinth of intricate limestone formations. Continue south through the majestic Boranup Forest of enormous Karri Trees to Augusta. Here at Cape Leeugwin Lighthouse, we see where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean. While heading back to your accommodation catch views of surf breaks on along the coast. In spring during the wildflower season, you may even see a spectacular display of native wildflowers.

 
Margaret River Food & Wine (B, L, D)

Today is packed with food, wine, gourmet local ingredients and boutique wineries. After breakfast and a sleep in, we set out on a day indulging in wine, coffee, cheese, and chocolates at the region’s finest producers including a couple of behind the scene tours.

After spending a day in stunning vineyards, lunch at a winery, and visiting local artisans we head back to Perth arriving in the evening.

 
Perth Free Day (B)

The day is free for you to explore Perth at your own pace. Soak up the alfresco lifestyle or enjoy a few cold drinks at the thriving metropolis of laneway bars.

 
Board the Indian Pacific in Perth, Kalgoorlie (B, L, D)

Make your own way to East Perth Terminal for a mid-morning departure aboard the iconic Indian Pacific. Your fabled journey from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean begins as you settle into your comfortable cabin and get to know the creature comforts of life onboard. Enjoy a modern Australian lunch as you glide through the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley. After a relaxing afternoon onboard, enjoy a three-course dinner prior to your late evening arrival in the wild west township of Kalgoorlie.

 
Indian Pacific, Nullarbor Plain (B, L, D)

Awake to the spectacular expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to watch the sunrise. Be captivated by the big blue skies and ancient stillness of the desert landscape, broken only by a mob of friendly kangaroos. Waiting ahead is the charm of the once-thriving Nullarbor railway community – now ghost town – of Cook. Sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world. Another mouth-watering dinner is followed by relaxed conversation in the lounge before a restful night’s sleep.

 
Indian Pacific, Adelaide (B, L, D)

As the landscape changes again and rich ochre sands make way for forests and farmlands, you will arrive into charming Adelaide. You have the choice of a walking tour (seasonal), a behind-the-scenes tour of the world-famous Adelaide Oval, or a coach tour of the city sights.

 
Indian Pacific, Blue Mountains and Sydney (B, L)

Wake in the picturesque Blue Mountains. See the majestic Three Sisters at Echo Point and the views at Jamison Valley before completing your journey on a chartered NSW rail service into Sydney Central Station. Alternatively, stay onboard the Indian Pacific arriving directly into Sydney. Make your own way to the airport if you are flying out today.

Exclusions

Flights, airport transfers, train transfers, meals not stated, drinks on meals, optional programs, visas (if required), travel insurance (strongly recommended), tipping, personal expenses and anything not explicitly specified are at your own expense.

Payment

A deposit from $1199 per person is required to secure your booking. A final balance will be due 5 months before departure. 

A single supplement from $400 per person is payable in addition to the twin share price for solo occupancy, and is valid for a Gold Service Single Cabin (not Gold Service Twin Cabin), subject to availability. The Gold Service Single Cabin is shared bathroom/shower facilities at the end of the carriage.

Triple Share

Triple share is not available.

Extra Accommodation

Pre tour Perth hotel with breakfast, in the same tour hotel from $250 per room per night, subject to availability.

Fitness Requirement

Comfortable with walking on trains as you may experience some swaying and movement as the train traverses some of the more remote areas of the country.  Be able to carry your own luggage as porterage is not included. Day tours involve walking and standing for short periods of time. This package is not suitable for travellers requiring wheelchair access or assistance

This tour is best enjoyed by adult travellers and is not suitable for children.

Advertised price is based on availability of the Gold Service Twin Cabin. Surcharges may apply for fare & cabin upgrades and peak travel periods. Margaret River Tour & Accommodation

The Margaret River tour itinerary and inclusions are indicative and subject to change without notice. The Margaret River accommodation will be at Abbey Beach Resort or a property of similar standard (based on 2 people sharing, subject to availability).

Amendment

Each amendment is subject to a fee from $75 per person. Additional fees and fare differences from third-party suppliers including air, tour, cruise and accommodation providers may apply.

Cancellation

Cancellation is subject to a fee from $550 per person. Additional fees and fare differences from third-party suppliers including rail, tour, cruise and accommodation providers may apply.

Health

It is the responsibility of the customer to check and comply with the health, vaccination, COVID-19 and immigration requirements of each origin and destination country, and health requirements imposed by air, tour, cruise and accommodation providers. Vaccinations, testing and quarantine costs are the expense of the customer. Comprehensive travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage is strongly recommended.

Baggage

Train – one piece of hand luggage and carry on sized luggage for staying in your cabin. A larger piece of luggage can be checked in and placed in a luggage carriage and only available for collection at the end of trip. A light day bag or backpack is permitted on the coach and train. Porterage is not included and you are required to carry your own bags. Luggage and personal effects are your own risk and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.

Meals

Please notify us at the time of booking of any special dietary requirements and allergies. We will pass on your requirements but cannot guarantee that they can be met as certain choices may be limited or not catered for. You are encouraged to reconfirm requirements with your tour leader whilst on tour.

Accommodation

Accommodation names referenced are to be used as an indicative guide for the standard of accommodation to expect. Actual accommodation names may differ and will be confirmed on your final documentation. All hotel ratings are local or self-ratings provided by the supplier. All rooms are lead-in category or run of house unless otherwise specified. The standard check-in time is after 3pm and check-out is before 10am – actual times may vary.

Group Size

This holiday will proceed based on minimum numbers to operate. If the trip does not operate, you will be offered a credit.

Itinerary

The operating schedule and itinerary may be impacted without notice by adverse weather, seasonal factors, closures, local conditions, COVID-19 or other factors beyond our control including force majeure. If attractions are not available due to reasons beyond our control such as closures or adverse weather, alternatives will be provided where possible. The itinerary and its order, sightseeing and transportation may be adjusted as deemed appropriate by the operator for optimum safety, enjoyment and operation. Any reference to ‘optional’, ‘not included’ or ‘exclusions/excluded’ means at your own expense.

Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control. In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, the supplier reserves the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.
