Welcome to Munich! On arrival, make your own way to the hotel to relax for the evening.
Note that due to flight scheduling, flights are likely to depart Australia on Day 0. Confirmed flights details will be included in final documentation.
After a relaxed start and free time today, meet your tour leader and the rest of your group before heading out to dinner at a traditional Munich Beer Hall.
Depart Munich after breakfast this morning. The first stop is Salzburg, renown for baroque architecture and a formidable cliff-top fortress. Later, stop for photos at stunning Lake Bled, the medieval castle and dramatic island. On arrival in Ljubljana, Slovenia, experience a walking tour and soak up the wealth of cultures, activities and sights. Ljubljana Castle overlooks the city and dates back to the 16th Century. Free time for the rest of the day.
Today, take in some of Europe’s most picturesque natural landscapes; visit Croatia’s world-famous Plitvice Lakes National Park. Stroll the boardwalks and marvel at the incredible natural scenery of Croatia’s largest national park. Filled with waterfalls, lush vegetation and countless lakes, this is one of the most beautiful stops on the tour. The coach will then travel on to a coastal resort near Split, for an included dinner and relaxing evening at the hotel.
On the way to Dubrovnik stop off in sunny Split. Enjoy free time to stroll around the historic town, including the sprawling Diocletian’s Palace. Once in Dubrovnik, take an orientation tour of the lovely old town with your Tour Leader. The city has spectacular architecture – including churches, monasteries, fountains and museums. Enjoy free time for the rest of the day to learn about the city’s history; stroll the marble streets; take a walk along the ancient city walls or try one of the many charming restaurants (not included).
Relax this morning, with a full free day to explore Dubrovnik at your own pace. Many main attractions are easily found within the city walls in the ‘old town’. Or, catch the cable car (not included) to the top of Mount Srdj for incredible views over the city – highly recommended for a scenic sunset photo or two.
For those who want to explore further afield, choose the optional (not included) full day excursion to beautiful and historic Montenegro. Discover natural beauty and rich history as you are driven through charming countryside to the UNESCO Heritage listed port town of Kotor.
Leave Dubrovnik behind and breakfast today and travel on to Sarajevo. Stop on the way in the enchanting Balkan town of Mostar; comprised of many religious buildings, churches, and a vast collection of Roman, Greek, Croatian and Ottoman influences. Sarajevo is the capital city of Bosnia & Herzegovina and has recovered from the destruction in the 90s. Now famed for its East-meets-West atmosphere, learn all about the city’s complex past in a walking tour of this fascinating city.
Say goodbye to Sarajevo, and travel on to the Serbian capital of Belgrade. Enjoy a locally guided tour of the city including Republic Square, Bohemian Quarter, Kalemegdan Park and Belgrade fortress. A fascinating place, Belgrade radiates gritty exuberance in its many architectural contrasts with socialist blocks set amongst more grandiose buildings. After the walking tour enjoy an included dinner, before free time to explore the city at night.
Leaving Serbia behind, head for Hungary, via a farm visit in the traditional homeland of the Hungarian horse lords. Watch a traditional horse show where the locals demonstrate their famous equestrian skills. Choose to try the world’s best Hungarian goulash, a rich and hearty beef stew, at an optional (not included) lunch hosted by the farm. The coach then travels on to Budapest. With a mix of natural beauty and art nouveau architecture, this is a city to behold. Embark on an evening driving tour to get an overview of the city. Travel across the mighty Danube and make a stop at the Fisherman’s Bastion for spectacular views across the river to the Parliament Building and St Stephen’s Basilica.
The entire day is free to experience Budapest as you wish today. Get to know the compact city, sample some of Hungary’s best dishes or relax like a local at a traditional thermal springs bath house. The past and present coexist here; look out for remnants of WWII and the uprising of 1956. Later, maybe catch the sunset on an evening stroll along the Danube.
Leaving Budapest behind, head for the grandeur of Vienna. Along the way stop off in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Your tour leader will take an orientation tour for some of the main sights, including a photostop at Bratislava Castle, overlooking the city. Then, on arrival in Vienna, take a driving tour of this diverse city. Along with a musical past including luminaries like Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms and artworks by masters like Klimt, Schiele and Kokoschka, Vienna has a buzzing modern culinary scene and cheerful, bustling pubs.
On the way to Prague this morning, visit Mauthausen concentration camp, a WW2 labour where hundreds of thousands of political prisoners lost their lives. The tour will also take a comfort stop in lovely Český Krumlov, with it’s spectacular castle and wealth of Renaissance and Baroque architecture. On arrival in Prague, take a walking tour of this incredible city. Famous for its art, architecture, cobbled lanes and ancient chapels, this is also home to some of Europe’s finest beer. A local tour guide will escort you through the historic streets, pointing out the features of the ‘Old Town’, Primatial Palace, Slovak National Theatre and the Main Square. For dinner, experience authentic Czech cuisine at a local restaurant.
Today, take the time to explore the compact old city at your own pace. Sample local cuisine and much-lauded beers, visit art galleries, admire the weird and witty sculpture that adorns the city’s public spaces and marvel at the soaring gothic and baroque architecture. Consider visiting the majestic Prague Castle, crossing famous Charles Bridge and wandering through the ‘Old Town’ and Jewish Quarter.
On the return to Munich, the tour will pause in Nuremberg, Bavaria’s second-largest city. Find incredible architecture here, restored with original stone after extensive Second World War bombing. Finish the tour in Munich as you please, with free time this evening. Relax at the hotel, gather your tour-mates for a farewell dinner (not included), or possibly revisit one of the beer halls that welcomed you so warmly at the beginning of your adventure.

CHILD POLICY
Children under 10 years old are not permitted on this tour. Children over 12 must travel with a responsible adult 18 year or older. There is no discount for children travelling.
LOW DEPOSIT
An initial deposit from $299 per person is required to secure your booking.
PAYMENTS
A second deposit from $1800 per person is required 8 months before departure.
The final balance will be due 3 months before departure.
BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE
If you are unable to travel due to government restrictions or supplier cancellations, we will waive our administration fees and assist with a date change, credit or refund less any unrecoverable third-party costs. Credits are subject to supplier conditions and fare differences may apply upon rebooking.

Each amendment incurs a $55 per person administration fee.

BAGGAGE POLICY
Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 20kg on tour, regardless of any other baggage allowance.
Porter service is not included and you are expected to carry your own bags.
Luggage and personal effects are your own risk and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.
VISAS
Tourist visas are not required for Australian and most other nationalities travelling to these countries in Europe. It is your responsibility to check all requirements with your local consulate, embassy or visa centre.
COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
It is the customer’s responsibility to check the country of departure and country of arrival’s COVID-19 restrictions. Our third party supplier partners (e.g. airlines, cruise lines, accommodation, tour operators etc) may also have additional restrictions. It is the customer’s responsibility to check that all travellers in your party also meet all requirements. The situation is fluid and as such country and state entry requirements, along with third party supplier requirements, are changing frequently. All travellers must comply with their final destination’s immigration and health requirements.
VACCINATIONS
It is your responsibility to check all requirements with your local consulate, embassy or visa centre for the latest information regarding vaccination requirements. Should any mandatory quarantine or testing be required, this will be at your own expense and for you to arrange. Please be advised that any costs for these requirements will be at your own expense. Our consultants are not qualified to advise you on vaccinations. Please contact your doctor or a specialist vaccination clinic for advice.

ITINERARY
The itinerary and its order, sightseeing and transportation may be adjusted as deemed necessary for optimum safety, enjoyment and operation of the tour.
If attractions are not available due to reasons beyond our control such as closures or adverse weather, similar alternatives will be provided where possible.
Included admissions provide general entrance to the attraction and do not include secondary admissions or expenses inside the venue.
Any reference to ‘optional’, ‘not included’ or ‘exclusions/excluded’ means at your own expense.
FLIGHTS
The indicated length of trip does not include time in flight and is subject to change depending on the final flight schedule.
Flights are booked approximately 8 to 10 months prior to departure. The flights included in your package are based on a specific predetermined airfare allowance. Should there be a significant increase in airfares, taxes or government fees at the time of booking flights, then an airfare supplement may be imposed. The flights team will discuss options with you prior to ticketing, should this situation arise. Flights may not operate daily or directly to your destination.

TIPPING
Tipping for guides and drivers is recommended but not mandatory. It is customary to tip the Tour Leader and Driver at the end of the tour (or leg of the tour), at €4-6 Euro per person per day.
BREAKAWAY POLICY
It is a condition of booking that you must always remain with the tour according to the prescribed program.
Departure from the group or deviation from the set itinerary are not permitted unless written prior consent is obtained, otherwise you risk cancellation of remaining land and air arrangements.
FEEDBACK POLICY
All efforts must be made to resolve issues on tour with the tour leader.
Complaints must be submitted in writing with substantiated evidence within 10 days of trip completion.

FORCE MAJEURE
Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control.
In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, we reserve the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.
