Your Cruise Itinerary

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Welcome to Croatia! Be transferred to your hotel to check-in and relax for the rest of the day.

Dubrovnik, (B)

Take in some of Dubrovnik’s famous landmarks and the ancient city centre on a half-day tour today. Visit the Rectors Palace and the ancient Franciscan Church – home to a still-practicing 13th-century pharmacy. Walk along some of the city’s iconic fortress walls, with stunning views into the old city and out over the Adriatic Sea.

Dubrovnik – Split (B)

After breakfast at the hotel this morning, travel north along the breathtaking Adriatic Coast and through the Neretva River Delta to the coastal city of Split. Explore the charming streets of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed city, including a visit to the sprawling and beautifully preserved 4th-century Diocletian’s Palace, built for the Roman emperor. The rest of the day is free to relax or further discover Split at your own pace.

Split – Zadar (B)

After the scenic drive to Zadar, join an experienced local guide on a walking tour of Zadar’s lovely old town. Visit St. Donatus Church, a landmark of the city of Zadar from the early Middle Ages, and view St. Anastasia’s Cathedral, built with the iconic local white Istrian stone. The walk concludes at Zadar’s pier, site of the famous Sea Organ: Set within perforated stone stairs that descend into the sea, is a system of pipes and whistles that produces wistful sighs when the movement of the sea pushes air through it. You can swim from the steps off the promenade while listening to the sounds.

Relax with free time for the rest of the day.

Zadar – Plitvice Lakes – Zagreb (B)

Take in views of Croatian countryside while travelling inland to Plitvice Lakes this morning. A National Park tour (approx. 3 hours) highlights the incredible natural beauty of the park, renowned for its 16 lakes arranged in cascades with colours ranging from azure to green, grey or blue. The lakes are interconnected and follow the water flow. The tour – consisting of walks, train rides and crossing the Kozjak lake by boat – takes place in a pristine natural environment.

Later today, talk a guided walk through Zagreb. Start in the Lower Town and view dramatic Baroque and Romanesque architecture. See the old University Library, Mimara Museum and National Theatre. Then wander through the fortified Upper Town and its monuments, to conclude at Zagreb Cathedral.

Zagreb – Lake Bled – Ljubljana (B)

Cross the border into Slovenia today and travel to the traditional Alpen resort town of Bled. This incredibly photogenic region features pristine mountains and deep forest encircling a glacial lake. Take a short boat ride out to the island in the centre of the lake. It houses a church and wishing bell steeped in local history.

On arrival into Ljubljana, enjoy a 2 hour (approx.) guided tour of Slovenia’s vibrant capital city. Cross the famous Triple Bridge, visit Central Market Hall – considered one of the most beautiful in Europe and view the varied architecture for which ‘Europe’s Greenest City’ is famous.

Ljubljana – Postojna Caves – Mestre (Venice region) (B)

Today’s journey to Italy includes a stop at Postojna Cave, one of the world’s largest karst monuments, comprised of a vast web of tunnels, passages and stunning halls.

Later in the day, tour Venice, starting at magnificent Piazza San Marco, the hub of the city. See the Clock Tower, Napoleonic Wing and visit Basilica of San Marco, with its breathtaking Byzantine mosaics and glowing leadlight windows. The tour concludes after walking over the famous Rialto Bridge, one of the oldest and most important bridges in Venice, spanning the Grand Canal. The rest of the day is free for your own exploration.

Depart Venice onboard MSC Sinfonia (B)

After breakfast and a leisurely start to the day, be transferred to the Cruise Terminal to embark the wonderful MSC Sinfonia and start your cruise.

Kotor, Montenegro

Kotor is a fortified town on Montenegro’s Adriatic coast, in a bay near the limestone cliffs of Mt. Lovćen. Characterized by winding streets and squares, its medieval old town has several Romanesque churches, including Kotor Cathedral. It’s also home to the Maritime Museum, which explores local seafaring history. Sveti Đorđe, one of 2 tiny islands off the ancient town of Perast, features a centuries-old church.

At Sea

Your day at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything the ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. All of the ships activities can be found on the vessels daily newsletter. If relaxation is on your mind then your sea day will allow you to sit back, soak in ship life and watch the world as it floats by.

Mykonos, Greece

Explore this quintessential Greek island with pristine white houses with blue accents and beautiful beaches. Once you’ve seen one of the famous sunsets, you’ll understand why this is the most visited island in the region!

Santorini, Greece

Santorini is one of the most formidable islands in the world, famed for beautiful food, pristine water and unrivalled sunsets, in the foreground are the post card whitewashed buildings. Perceptions are had about the lost city of Atlantis being located here due to Santorini’s subtle mystery.

Sarande, Albania

Sarandë is a resort on the Albanian Riviera, in southern Albania. Sandwiched between the Ionian Sea and hills of olive groves, the town is on a horseshoe-shaped bay, edged by beaches and a promenade. In the center are the archaeological remains of a 5th-century synagogue, later an early Christian basilica. Intricate floor mosaics are still evident. The 16th-century Lëkurësi Castle is on a hilltop above the town.

Bari, Italy

Bari is a port city on the Adriatic Sea, and the capital of southern Italy’s Puglia region. Its mazelike old town, Barivecchia, occupies a headland between 2 harbors. Surrounded by narrow streets, the 11th-century Basilica di San Nicola, a key pilgrimage site, holds some of St. Nicholas’ remains. To the south, the Murat quarter has stately 19th-century architecture, a promenade and pedestrianized shopping areas

Venice, Italy

You could start a discussion about Venice by praising its restaurants, wine bars, marble churches or blown glass. But you probably won’t. You’ll likely start with the fact that Venice is built on water. It is a place where people either float slowly down palace-lined man-made waterways or stroll down narrow alleyways. There’s no more of an extraordinary place to find yourself, or lose yourself.

Given some of the cruise leviathans currently plying the oceans, MSC Sinfonia is not a large ship; yet her 9 passengers decks and 250 metre length accommodate an awful lot of comfort and quality for her guests. More important than sheer scale is good design and MSC Sinfonia manages to provide many different and sympathetic moods throughout her public spaces. If you’re looking for relaxation, then make your way to Le Terme where a cleansing sauna and soothing massage await. Or, for something more active, the same facility on Debussy deck boasts a fully equipped gym too. And, whilst you’re away, why not perfect that golf swing with a state-of-the-art Virtual Golf Simulator that’s perfect for beginners and seasoned professionals too. But, if this is all too serious for you, why not enjoy a spot of mini-golf or traditional deck games – a great way to get all the family involved and meet new friends! Whether you’re cruising in the Med’ or South Africa the sea air tends to stimulate the appetite and therefore, aside from the fine cuisine that you’ll find in the restaurants, you’ll find plenty to keep body and soul together in the plush Café Le Baroque and from the bright, modern La Terrazza Buffet. Of course, there are plenty of excellent bars whilst the Irish Pub, Shelagh’s House will make British cruisers feel right at home!
